2020 NPLW Player Announcement

Capalaba is excited to announce the signing of Natalie Tathem for the 2020 NPL Women's Season.

A passionate Brisbane local, 24 year old Tathem established herself as a regular starting player in the most recent edition of the Westfield W-League with Brisbane Roar.

A strong and reliable defender with an impressive work ethic, Natalie will add some starch to an already strong Capalaba Bulldogs NPL Women’s line up.

Tathem rose through the ranks at Olympic FC with current Bulldogs team mate JJ McLean, making her debut at the age of 18 in the 2014 edition of the PS4 Queensland NPL with OIympic FC.

In 2015, she was selected in the inaugural 2015 PS4 NPL Queensland Women’s Select team to take on Brisbane Roar’s W-League team and was named Olympic FC’s players player.

After impressing in the 2015 NPL season, Tathem signed on with the Brisbane Roar ahead of the 2016-17 season and earned herself a contract renewal each season since.

Arriving at Brisbane Roar as a an attacking midfielder, Nat has evolved into a versatile and rugged defender with a high tackle success rate and who hasn’t lost her attacking edge and an ability to create goal scoring opportunities for her team mates.

The 24 year old impressed current Capalaba head coach, Skie Hanifin, in his stint at Moreton Bay United, that he signed Tathem for the 2019 season and encouraged her to follow him to Capalaba for 2020 - “Nat is the player every coach wants, she is a genuine leader and has an incredible work ethic. I am so glad she came with me to Capalaba
