2020 NPL Player Announcement

Capalaba FC is excited to confirm the signing of 2019 FQPL Young Player of the Year nominee, Kurtis Goodwin and former Logan Lightning and Redlands United midfielder, Sam Langley for the 2020 NPL Season.

Goodwin announced himself as a quality ‘keeper across the 2019 FQPL Season with his heroics between the sticks and was a major part of Capalaba’s promotion to the NPL for 2020. He was named in the FQPL Team of the week on a number of occasions during the season, and capped it off with being named in the FQPL Team of the Season for 2019. Kurtis would be looking to continue his form and rise in stature with a strong season in the top flight in 2020.

Sam Langley has been a mainstay in the midfield of local rivals Redlands United and Logan Lightning in recent seasons and has made the move to Capalaba for 2020. Langley is a player with plenty of NPL experience and possesses great vision, while providing great support to his team mates.

On confirming these signings, Coach David Booth had this to say “Kurtis is a quality player who is only going to get stronger and stronger . He was a huge part of our success in 2019 but 2020 is going to be another challenge. It's always good to bring a player with the level of experience that Sam has. Another lad from the Redlands coast who will provide much needed NPL experience for our squad as we make our way in the NPL in 2020.”

Welcome back Kurtis and welcome to Capalaba, Sam. We all look forward to watching you over the course of the season.
