What is Muster Day?

Muster day is where we place all our Under 6 - 12 players into teams. If you played last year and want to keep the same team together that's great, come down on the day and put your team together.

We do need a Game Day Coach and a Manager for each team. If your team already has someone who has volunteered for each role, you can have your playing kit allocated on Muster day.

Format for Muster Day -

  • Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appropriate age group scheduled time

  • We will organise players into teams

  • Players will head off with our FQPL & FQPLW 1st team players to join in some small sided games

  • Our Foundation Technical Director and support team will talk with parents and handout the Parents Miniroos Handbook 2024

Important Information for Parents:

🏅Have you ever thought about giving coaching a go, with the right support?

🏅Want to be involved, then Team Manager is a great role?

Each MiniRoos team needs these two very important roles filled on Muster Day.

Did you know, our Club is almost exclusively run by volunteer Coaches, Managers and Committee? Many of our current volunteers started off as Miniroos Coaches or Managers. The club could not run as effectively as it does without our amazing volunteers!

On Muster Day, we need each team to:

  • Nominate an awesomely cool team name, this year’s theme to celebrate the Womens World Cup will be: Female Footballers

  • Nominate a volunteer Coach (parent or guardian). Being a MiniRoos Coach is fun this year you will receive a Coaches Handbook, along with support from your age group Director of Coaching, Club Coach Coordinator and our Club Technical Director. So plenty of support to help you throughout the season.

  • Nominate a Team Manager (parent or guardian). The Manager lets other parents know when and what time the next game is. This is done via the Spond app.

  • Nominate a training day and time that suits the Coach, majority of the team and the club.

We are looking forward to everyone joining a team!

Training:

Training days & times will be allocated after Muster Day has been completed.
