PINK DAY 2021 -
See all the activities that will be held on the day to help the club raise much needed funds for Cancer Foundations and reconnect with the local community.
Capalaba FC is aiming for its most successful charity fundraising event yet when their annual Pink Day Weekend makes it long-awaited return to John Fredericks Park this weekend.
The two-day event, which raises money for a number of cancer charities, was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID restrictions but returns just in time for its tenth anniversary this year.
Activities are designed for the whole family and include raffles, cake stall and cupcake making, a ladies fashion market, face-painting, and tie-die stall.
Amongst the football-related fun will be appearances by the club’s raft of W-League stars including former Matildas stars Amy Chapman and Larissa Crummer, and ex-Roar & Socceroos Captain Matt McKay.
Current W-League stars Georgina Worth, Anna Margraf & Hollie Palmer will also be making an appearance. There will be an inflatable football field for kids to kick the ball around in.
The club’s coaches are even putting themselves at the mercy of their charges in the chilly winter weather by participating in the ‘dunk-a-coach’ water tank game.
