In the off-seasons, Chapman made her way to the US, signing to play for the Los Angles Strikers in the USL W-League for their 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Since retiring from the W-League, Chapman has plied her trade in the QLD NPLW with Souths United, where she was a prolific goal scorer, with 54 goals across two seasons, as well as two entries in the NPLW team of the season for her exploits in front of goal.
Whilst at the AIS, Amy was selected for her first senior Australian squad, travelling to Russia for the 2006 FIFA under 20 Women's World Championship. Thereafter, Chapman was a mainstay of the senior Matilda's squad, making 20 appearance from 2007 to 2013.
